Having trouble delivering compelling presentations?

Get ready for a shortcut!

Great presentations make the difference between world-class deliverables and barely meeting the minimum requirements. But telling your story isn’t always so easy to do. Of the various reasons why this can be challenging, it appears that talking about yourself is the most common.

An easy shortcut to ensuring you don’t sell yourself short (or oversell) is to use best practices in your story-telling. Nancy Duarte happens to be an expert in design and presentations and she has been featured in Fortune, Forbes, and numerous business publications. Over the years, her book Resonate: Present Visual Stories that Transform Audiences, has inspired many of my presentations, including the ones I designed for the US Supreme Court.

If you are a story-teller or presenter of any type, you will be well served to have a copy of Resonate in your arsenal. It serves as a great tool for when I get stuck and helps me establish a baseline of excellence in all of my presentations.

“To me, presentations are the most powerful device. You can’t really name a movement that didn’t start with the spoken word.” -Nancy Duarte

You can pick up a copy of Resonate here on Amazon and be sure to check out here website.
